Before I was being introduced to iWOWNfit i6 HRC, either I’ll run without my phone to just have a jog around the area or I’ll just have my runs with my phone on my hand. Troublesome, but that’s the only way I could do to track my distance. Many would have asked me to get myself an armband but then I don’t really favour having something wrapped around my arm (reason why I don’t get myself one).
However, knowing that there are many gears in the market that has better functionality, it is too expensive for me, till iWOWNfit came into my life and I definitely love it! It is affordable and yet delivers the things that I need. How great is that?
Unboxing my love for iWOWNfit
When I first received my iWOWNfit bracelet, I was starstruck after reading through what it has to offer. It tracks your all-day activities (which is great!), it is wirelessly synced, display notifications that you receive on your phone, has an auto-sleep tracker, able to set alarms and also it detects your heart rate. Isn’t it great? Simplicity all in one.
Reading the instruction manual, I was informed to charge the smart band for 45 minutes before I am able to use it. Without the instruction manual, I would have been so clueless on how to charge the smart band. They even explain and show it to you in picture form, really great for people who are visual learners like me.
While the smart band was left to charge, I proceeded on to download the iWOWNfit Pro app to pair the smart band together with my phone. It was quite difficult to pair the two together if you don’t have any idea where to pair them at, like me. As a user who doesn’t use or have any other electronic devices other than my phone, it was quite tough to understand.
It said to go to the Device section to connect the phone and smart band but, I couldn’t seem to find any. It just showed me a blank page on the app and I had to do research on how can I get the smart band and phone pair with one another. I found the way to do it and tried doing so, and it worked!
Simple features, yet delivers you information
I was excited to explore what iWOWNfit i6 HRC features and display will look like and it didn’t disappoint me at all. When I was exploring, I have already fallen in love with it. Their animation display is really cute and colourful! They even made the icon in the smart band to move, how attractive is that! And while I was using the smart band, I realised that it automatically adjusts the screen brightness according to the surroundings. Under the outdoor bright light, it will automatically increase the brightness, making it clear to see and then decrease the brightness when the light becomes weak, in order to save the battery and also protect the eyes.
Since my phone is connected to the smart band, whatever notifications and messages that I receive on my phone, I will also receive it on the smart band. You’ll be able to receive things like Whatsapp, Skype, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Gmail and etc. For someone who rarely checks their phone, like me, this smart band is extremely useful. It does not only alert you your app notifications and messages by just appearing on the screen, but it gives out a vibration! With this, I’ll be able to know if I receive any messages.
Other than receiving messages and app notifications, you’ll also get to know if there’s someone calling you! I guess, there’s no reason for us to miss any calls from now on.
There’s also other features that the iWOWNfit i6 HRC has, an alarm clock, a calendar reminder, and a sedentary reminder, which is great because when you are engrossed in doing something, iWOWNfit will be alerting you. You can also choose what kind of display would you like and it’s really cute because the first dial has time indication and weather too. Whereas for the second dial, it has also time indication but instead of weather, it indicates the number of calories burn and amount of steps you take.
Running with iWOWNfit i6 HRC
Doing my runs with iWOWNfit i6 HRC definitely made my life a lot easier. There’s no need to bring my phone with me and all I need is just to wear iWOWNfit i6 HRC around my wrist like a watch. It acts like a watch but there are tracking functionality that will help to make your runnings a breeze. iWOWNfit i6 HRC tracks your steps, heartbeat rate, amount of calories burned and the amount of distance that you have taken either by walking or running, which is great because I don’t have to download an application that has the same function as iWOWNfit i6 HRC.
The smart band also offers a function called Training. In Training function, there are various kind of sports available, like running, badminton, basketball, soccer, table tennis and tennis. Really love this function as individuals will be able to use it for their training plus, it also helps to record all the exercise data.
Runner’s boon
- Has animation display which is great and a plus point for that (my own personal preference though)! It is also colourful, making it attractive to the user.
- Love that it so easy to charge without having to use a cable.
- There’s no need to bring my phone with me for a run! Run light is the best.
- The battery life is great. After 3 days, there’s still at least 85 percent of the battery left.
Runner’s bane
- It keeps getting disconnected from my phone, which can be really annoying.
- After a long period of wearing the iWOWNfit on my wrist, sometimes I’ll feel pain. Maybe it’s just me.
- Difficulty in understanding how to connect my phone with iWOWNfit. Probably it’s because it’s my first time trying out a smart band.
- There are times where it is difficult to detect my heart beat.
