This year, the weather was not kind to the competitors. The rain was pouring down the ski-flying hill from the early morning, with the intensity varying from light rain to heavy storm, accompanied by thunder. Nevertheless, there were 898 competitors in the start area, from 15 countries. In the male category the title went to a local hero, young Luka Kovačič, whereas in the female category Dominika Wisnievska (Poland) achieved her first win in Planica.
