About 180 runners stormed Kallang Riverside Park last Thursday evening, 22 August, at adidas Singapore’s first-ever night run, The Night Mile – Pulseboost HD, held in celebration of the official launch of the brand’s latest running innovation, Pulseboost HD.
Eight mystery puzzle pieces, forming an image of the Pulseboost HD when assembled, were planted across a mile (1.6 km) long route. Teamed up at random in groups of 8 to 10, members of public, adidas employees, the local adidas Runners community and adidas creators (the brand’s term for ambassadors) were tasked to tackle this adrenaline-inducing route, as they dashed between checkpoints to uncover the different Pulseboost HD segments, and complete the puzzle.
All teams had just a few minutes to strategise their plan of attack before flag off. The teams made exceptionally quick work of the route, with the speediest team breezing through and clocking an impressive 10 minutes at the finish. The two fastest teams walked away with a race-exclusive, limited edition of the adidas Runners Singapore T-Shirt – in 3M reflective print – and for the top team, a pair of adidas’ latest Pulseboost HD running shoes for each team member.
To top it off, 15 lucky runners who picked up special ‘Easter eggs’ – in the form of cardboard Pulseboost cutouts – hidden along the route received adidas runners’ kits as well, to support them in their running journeys. Fresh off the grill, an assortment of tantalising roasted meats and vegetables, as well as refreshing beverages, awaited runners back at Camp Kilo Charcoal Club.
Pulseboost HD is the first silhouette to offer Boost HD, an evolution of adidas’ iconic boost technology, now engineered for a more responsive and stable ride. A shoe inspired by urban running culture, Pulseboost HD retails at S$200 and is available now at adidas.com.sg and adidas stores including VivoCity, Suntec City, Marina Bay Sands, ION Orchard, Paragon and Bugis.
