XTERRA Malaysia will be held in the beautiful island of Langkawi, Kedah tentatively from 28th – 30th April 2017.
It’s not a new race though as it started life in Putrajaya just outside Kuala Lumpur in 2013 and moved to Langkawi in 2015. This island, still unknown to many, has a natural history dating back 550 million years and is now recognized as one of UNESCO’s 94 Geoparks in the world – o ering natural river estuaries meandering amongst mountainous formations and surrounded by untouched tropical rainforests. This reason alone has made Langkawi a natural choice to host XTERRA Malaysia and when you add to this its solid reputation as a cultural and duty-free shopping centre with many world class tourist resorts with all the ingredients for a perfect tropical race destination for the entire family.
The XTERRA Malaysia Race weekend is perfect for not just Triathletes who are looking for something different to race on rather than tedious tarmac, as with a full range of trail-running races and kids races there is something to appeal to everyone in the family for a Naturally Adventurous get away.
