The Water Works Ultra Marathon in Oakhampton Heights, NSW on Sunday, 7 October 2018 has 50km and 100km ultramarathon events which can be run solo or in a team relay.
This event was originally scheduled for 18 March but was postponed due to extreme heat. Future events will return to March.
The course consists of a 3.6km loop which circles the stunning lake at the Walka Waterworks. The course surface is a mixture of gravel, dirt and grass paths and is namely flat with a few raises.
The 50km team relay can have teams of two runners or four runners. The 100km relay is for teams up to four runners. Each team is able to plan and use their own strategy. You can run 25kms each, swap each lap or swap laps unevenly. All transitions must take place at the runners change over area.
All runners in all distances who finish receive a finishers medal.
