The Straits Times Run is back again and this time we’re moving it to the heart of the city, to the F1 Pit Building in Marina Bay.
Since moving to a city route in 2014, the one piece of feedback that has been consistent the last two years was how much participants enjoyed running with Singapore’s picturesque city skyline as the backdrop.
In planning for the 2016 edition, we wanted to make sure that we had a route that would maximise this. Having the race start and end at the F1 Pit Building would runners take in more of Singapore’s cityscape.
This year’s run also aims to give runners a new experience. We were the first to bring a run to the Punggol Waterway in 2013 and were also the first at the Sports Hub in 2014. This year, by having the event at the F1 Pit Building, we, together with our sponsors and partners, hope to provide a unique post-race experience that the whole family can enjoy.
Bringing the ST Run closer to the heart of the city will allow participants and their family to take in more of the stunning sights around the Marina Bay area.
