The SCADaddle for Research is a 5km walk starting and finishing at Princes Park in Melbourne on Sunday, 17 September 2017 to raise awareness and much-needed research funds to solve the mystery of SCAD!
What is SCAD? Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection is an uncommon emergency heart condition that occurs when a tear forms in one of the blood vessels in the heart, causing a heart attack or sudden death. SCAD heart attacks typically occur in people with no standard risk factors for heart attack, the average age of patients is just 42 and 80% of sufferers are women.
