National Wildlife Day (Feb. 22nd & September 4th) founded in 2005 by animal behaviorist and philanthropist Colleen Paige serves as an opportunity to learn more about endangered species, preservation and conservation efforts around the world.
Every year we lose numerous species to the growth and expansion of human holdings, but through the effort of zoos, sanctuaries, and preservation organizations that rate is being slowed. Let’s run to celebrate and raise awareness of the world’s wild animals and plants.
