The Rottnest Running Festival on Sunday, 21 October 2018 has a full 42.2km marathon along with 21.1km half marathon, 5km and 10km fun runs on Rottnest Island in Western Australia.
The start of the Rottnest Marathon is heralded by the wail of bagpipes on the Sunday morning. The bagpipes have become a traditional part of the marathon and can be heard throughout the marathon at Armstrong Hill.

The event is organised by the West Australian Marathon Club, with proceeds donated to Royal Flying Doctor Service.
