Relay for Life (RFL) 2017, a 17-hour event, brings the community together to Celebrate the lives of cancer survivors, Remember those lost to the disease and Fight Back against a disease that has taken so much. Organised by the Singapore Cancer Society (SCS), this inaugural event will take place on 18 and 19 February 2017 at Bukit Gombak Stadium. The opening ceremony will be graced by Guest-of-honour, Minister of Health, Gan Kim Yong.
Relay For Life is a global movement founded in May 1985 by America Cancer Society in Tacoma, Washington. It has since grown into a worldwide event with 24 other countries taking part. Close to 4 million participants took part in RFL across the globe annually, making it one of the world’s largest fundraiser.
