Malaysia is the first country to hold the first international marathon event under the Belt and Road Marathon Series due to the strong ties between Malaysia and China. Malaysia Marathon will be held in Kuala Lumpur on October 1st 2017. Wisdom Sports Malaysia is the organiser of this marathon event, with the support from Ministry of Tourism & Culture (MOTAC) and Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL).
