The 18th Jogathon Warisan will be held on April 22, 2018 (Sunday) morning 4 am, with the starting point at Kwong Tung Cemetery Office in Kuala Lumpur. The gathering time for 21km runners is 4.30 a.m. while other categories are 6 a.m.
The main objective of the Jogathon Warisan is to raise the awareness of the next generation towards the protection of historical sites. Not only to inherit the historic value of the cultural heritage but also to reinforce the care of public on the natural asset, hoping that the government and the Chinese community will be more sensitive towards the Kwong Tung Cemetery. The organizing committee is expecting to have 8000 participants, in signifying the action to safeguard the historical value of Kwong Tung Cemetery.
This tournament is divided into 11 groups, namely, the Open Category (16 years old or above), the Secondary School Category (13-18 years old), the Veteran Category (50 years old and above), the Fun Run (10 or above) and OKU category. The starting and the ending point is the Kwong Tung Cemetery. The running distance of the Open Men/Women Category and Secondary School Category are both 10km, OKU Category is 0.5km while the rest is 5km.
This year, the half marathon run of 21km are divided into three groups: Open Men’s Category (16-30), Open Women’s Category (16 or above) and Veteran Men Category (40 or above). The registration fee for this tournament is RM85.00. Participants are entitled to two designated T-shirts and one special commemorative medal for completion runner within 4 hours. In addition, if 3 people register together, the group can enjoy the discounted price of RM225, which is limited to 150 teams only. The Interested party shall register as soon as possible, first come first served.
