For the second consecutive year, the French International School Marguerite Duras of Ho Chi Minh City will organise the Spring Race a.k.a La Course du Printemps on Sunday, 1 February 2015 at the Vietnam Golf & Country Club.
The 2014 edition of the Spring Race was a big success, not only attracting a familiar audience but also advanced sportsmen. A total of 332 runners of 24 different nationalities were brought together at the Vietnam Golf & Country Club, in a friendly and festive atmosphere.
New Categories for the Second Year
The French International School Marguerite Duras of Ho Chi Minh City and its partners are offering 3 new challenges : 5km, 10km and a half marathon of 21km. The second edition, in addition to the “Junior” category for those who are less than 20 years old, the “Veteran” category will reward the best runners older than 40. After the race, a raffle will conclude the active morning with gifts offered by the event’s partners.
A shuttle service will allow participants to get to the golf course the day of the race from district 2 and district 7. Medical care will be provided by the French-Vietnamese hospital (FV hospital).
The 21.1km half marathon will flag off at 6:30 a.m., 10km at 6:50 a.m. and 5km at 7:30 a.m.
The minimum age to participate in the half marathon is 17 years and for the 10km race it is 15 years old. The registration fees is 200,000 VND for all categories.
