adidas revealed its latest addition to the PureBOOST line, the new PureBOOST DPR. This latest adidas’ PureBOOST innovation is engineered to take runners closer to the city streets and to deliver an immersive urban running experience.
PureBOOST DPR features the signature BOOST technology with a new 8mm head-to-toe offset that stores and unleashes energy more effectively every time it hits the ground. It enables runners to truly ‘feel’ the street.
It In developing PureBOOST DPR, adidas studied the needs of urban runners and designed a shoe that is dynamic and adaptable. PureBOOST DPR supports runners in dodging traffic, racing street lights, weaving through pedestrians, working with the unpredictable surroundings and harnessing its energy.
Stephan Schneider, product manager, adidas Global Running said:
All over the world, runners are exploring cities and expressing their own creativity in the routes they choose and the challenges they take on. We wanted to build something purely designed for this type of runner, and loved the idea of creating a more adaptive running experience. This led us to design an 8mm heel–‐to–‐offset, that when paired with signature Boost technology allows the feet to sit lower, deeper, and much closer to the streets.
Key Features
The BOOST midsole is an ultra-responsive and comfortable cushioning that stores and returns energy every time the foot hits the ground. The more energy you give, the more you get.
Wider Forefoot Platform provides more stability when running over varied urban surfaces and around corners. Meanwhile, the Stretchweb Outsole adapts to every runner’s foot strike, enables a more flexible ride, and works in harmony with BOOST to unleash runner’s full potential.
PureBOOST DPR’s One-piece circular knit upper is seamless and adaptive, wrapping the foot from the inside of the midfoot to the outside and providing comfort no matter the route or obstacle.
Lastly, its heel fit counter system has been designed to enhance the support of the foot and Achilles, allowing the foot to move effortlessly within the shoe.
adidas PureBOOST DPR Singapore Campaign
To showcase PureBOOST DPR in full action, adidas Singapore worked with local athletes, such as national sprinter Calvin Kang, national divers Mark and Timothy Lee, and national rugby players Sidney Kumar and Jay-Hykel. The collaboration saw the athletes take to the streets of Singapore at night, and harness the energy of the city with PureBOOST DPR.
The adidas PureBOOST DPR (S$239) will be available from May 18th at shop.adidas.com.sg and retails at select adidas Performance & Sport stores, Royal Sporting House, Sports Link Holdings, and iRUN stores.
