Mok Ying Ren has signed an endorsement deal to be POCARI SWEAT’s Brand Ambassador. It is the 25-year-old’s third deal, with the other two sponsors being sporting brands Brooks and Key Power International.
A SEA Games Marathon medallist hopeful, Mok Ying Ren has been widely recognized as Singapore’s premier long distance runner. Mok’s best performances include a SEA Games Gold medal in 2007 for the Triathlon event in Thailand and most recently, setting a new Singapore record in the half-marathon at the Ageo City Half Marathon in Japan.
Both sporting feats were achieved whilst juggling the strenuous requirements of being a full-time medical student and doctor at the National University of Singapore.
With POCARI SWEAT on board as his official hydration beverage, Mok is another step closer to his “Road to Rio”, the quest to be the first Singaporean to qualify for the 42km marathon event in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
According to the Country Manager of POCARI SWEAT Singapore, Ms. Puspita Winawati, “POCARI SWEAT is glad to endorse Mok and help him achieve his goals of a SEA Games medal in the Marathon and fulfil his ultimate dream of qualifying for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro Marathon event.”
