Cars and runners have more than one thing in common: speeding on roads and, now, these brand-new performance shoes! Introducing the Wave Tenjin, a luxurious neutral running shoe co-branded by Mizuno and super sports car brand Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. (Sant’Agata Bolognese).
Launching today at Mizuno’s concept stores and official online store, these are the first collaborated merchandise to hit the market. In January earlier this year, the two companies have signed a partnership agreement on sporting goods and events.
Marrying Lamborghini’s super sports car brand image with Mizuno’s sports gear functionality, the Wave Tenjin is a sports shoe unlike any other. Equipped with the top-of-the-line Infiniti Wave feature in Mizuno running shoes, it provides superior cushioning and bears the Lamborghini logo on its tongue and heel.
The plush shoe incorporates several car motifs into its unique design. Not only is the side of the shoe modelled after a side view of a car, even the resin parts attached on the mesh fabric are created to look like air ducts. To top it off, the shoelace eyelets and forepart of the shoe sole are hexagonal, symbolising the Lamborghini brand.
