Fast Cushioning
Nike designers considered all angles of the shoe’s speed and comfort in the development of the Air Zoom Elite 8. The Zoom Air in the forefoot offers responsive cushioning at the faster speeds of tempo runs, when runners are more likely to strike with the forefoot. A Soft, Smooth Transition
Underfoot, an ultra-thin outsole adds traction without bulking up weight, further allowing for streamlined propulsion. The Air Zoom Elite 8 shoe’s lateral crash rail flexes upon contact with the ground for a soft, smooth transition from landing to takeoff.
With the offset lowered by eight millimetres, these shoes put runners closer to the ground for a natural foot strike, and thus better control. To further facilitate a natural motion, deep flex grooves are added underfoot too.
Breathable Support
The upper lightweight mesh delivers breathability without adding weight and supportive Nike Flywire technology wraps the foot for a snug yet adaptive fit. Asymmetrical lacing helps lock down the midfoot, while no-sew overlays adds support and offers a sleek, virtually seamless fit.
