Ending off the TRI-Factor series with a bang is none other than the TRI-Factor Triathlon! The Triathlon Association Singapore (TAS) Sanctioned Race will be held at East Coast Park, Angsana Green E2 on Sunday, 23 August 2015.
Don’t let the word “triathlon” put you off so quickly—there’ll be four different categories for various age groups and fitness levels:
- Standard: 1.5km Swim, 36km Cycle and 10km Run
- Sprint: 750m Swim, 18km Cycle, 5km Run
- Freshman: 200m Swim, 12km Cycle, 2km Run
- Mini: 100m Swim, 6km Cycle, 1km Run
Participants aged 13 and above can join the Freshman category while kids and juniors between 6 and 15 years old can also join in the fun with the non-competitive Mini.
Founded in 2009, the TRI-factor Series sets a progressive platform which aims to help sporting enthusiasts complete their first triathlon. Following the TRI-Factor Swim in April, there was a mass cycling event—the TRI-Factor Bike—in May. Next up, there will be a mass TRI-Factor Run in July before the series rounds off with the finale TRI-Factor Triathlon.
All participants are entitled to a triathlon event T-shirt, race event kit (swim cap, race bib, wrist tag, helmet tag, bike tag), timing chip, event race kit bag of sponsors items, and, upon completion, an event finisher medal.
