Do you have “retired” running shoes still in good condition? Why not extend their running life and share the joy of running with the less privileged?
Now in its 6th year, Running Lab’s Project Love Sneaker has gained traction within running communities and the general public. This year, the annual shoe-donation drive aims to collect 2,400 pairs of shoes to help the less fortunate.
To take part, simply drop your shoes off at any Running Lab outlets from 1 to 30 April 2016.
All shoes collected be donated to people with disabilities and disadvantaged youths from various charities supported by Community Chest.
These include:
- Delta Senior School
- Singapore Association for Mental Health – Bukit Gombak Group Homes (BGGH)
- Viriya Family Service Centre
- Students Care Centre (Yishun)
- Lakeside Family Centre (Jurong East)
- Ang Mo Kio Family Service Centre
Donate your used running shoes in clean and re-usable condition and receive a S$50 voucher which can be used to purchase new shoes!
Did you know? Regular runners typically need to replace their shoes every 600 to 800 km of mileage. Whilst not ideal for top performance, these shoes are still in relatively good condition. So don’t waste them and make a difference to the lives of the less fortunate!
