In conjunction with DBS’s 50th anniversary, DBS is taking the seventh edition of the DBS Marina Regatta to another level. DBS will be extending the event over two weekends instead of one and also, collaborating with Under Armour, an American sports brand, to introduce the most technically challenging obstacle course in Southeast Asia.
DBS Marina Regatta will be on 26-27 May and 2-3 June, held at The Promontory @ Marina Bay. It is open to everyone from adrenaline junkies, urban athletes to families looking for some fun by the Bay.

The DBS family looks forward to hosting Singaporeans from all walks at the DBS Marina Regatta every year. This year’s regatta is especially significant for us as we are also celebrating our golden jubilee. To mark this special occasion, we have curated a series of activities that best represents what makes DBS special to our customers. We have Battle Bay Extreme which best demonstrates our tenacious spirit, Asia’s largest dragon boating competition which plays to our spirit of excellence and competition and a Creator’s Market which represents our spark of creativity and all things fun.
Compete and push to your limits for a good cause
Battle Bay Extreme intends to push participant’s limits and let them dig deep to draw out their tenacious spirit beyond just physical strength but also mental spirit, endurance and speed. Participants able to choose from three thrilling levels, ranging from beginner (Initiate), intermediate (Intense) to advanced (Insane). For the participants to be prepared for the Battle Bay Extreme, DBS will be holding a series of complimentary fitness and wellness activities around the Bay starting from 17 April.
By participating in the Battle Bay Extreme, participants will be pushing their limits for a good cause. On top of donating S$50,000, DBS will also donate all registration fees from the Battle Bay Extreme to Thye Hua Kwan in support of their adoption of innovative solutions for Active Aging seniors. The donation will likely add up to be over S$100,000. Leading the celebrity challenge to raise funds for charity will be Joseph Schooling, Singapore’s Olympic Games, World Championships and Asian Games medallist.

Prices and goodies of event
The prices for Battle Bay Extreme starts from S$8, making it the most affordable sporting event in Singapore. There is an early-bird fee of S$38, where participants can test their strength and resilience at the respective stations such as a six-foot wall, inverted ladders, rope climbs, quintuple steps and more. Participants that has already registered will receive a goodie bag with an exclusive DBS Marina Regatta branded products as well as TripleFit discount passes.
Paddling for Asia’s biggest Dragon Boating prize
DBS Marina Regatta will also be hosting the seventh edition of the international dragon boating competition, organised in collaboration with the Singapore Dragon Boat Association (SDBA). An estimate of 80 teams from across Asia will be welcome to compete for cash prizes totalling S$134,000, largest prize money offered for sports in Asia.
President of SDBA, Dr Chia Shi-Lu was excited that they were a part of DBS 50th anniversary and said:
We are very excited to be part of DBS’ Golden Jubilee celebrations this year. With the huge support of DBS, the dragon boating community has grown exponentially both in Singapore and regionally, with the DBS MR being one of the most anticipated regattas annually.
