Returning to the Central Business District (CBD) for the third year running, the iconic Bloomberg Square Mile Relay calls on teams from Singapore’s toughest businesses to once again compete for glory. The ultimate corporate relay race will send teams of 10 runners dashing 1.6 km from The Promontory @ Marina Bay at sunset, 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, 1 October 2015.
More than a bid to clock the fastest time, the showdown means a chance win a cheque to donate to their charity of choice, too. Last year’s champ out of more than 160 teams, Macquarie Bank, donated their prize money of S$10,000 to Hope House. Other participating companies included ANZ, Barclays, Glencore, MasterCard and Standard Chartered.
A night not to be missed, runners and spectator guests can enjoy dinner, drinks and a live DJ at the fantastic after-party. What a way to unwind after tackling a unique one-mile (1.6 km) course up staircases, along overpasses, through buildings and along Marina Bay.
The Singapore edition of this London-originated event kick starts the first leg of the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay in Asia and relays to Shanghai in mid-October, followed by Hong Kong in November. The race is proudly sponsored by Bloomberg, the global business and financial information and news leader, and official race partners, OUE and Pure Fitness.
