A sequel story to the 2015 GEL-LYTE V,“Medic”, HIGHS AND LOWS has once again worked with ASICS Tiger to create a special collaborative rendition of the GEL-MAI, dubbed the “Submariner”.
The formula remains rather the same-premium leathers and suedes adorn the upper,however,the drab olive and pop red have been replaced for a more nautical and appropriate dark navy and slate blue colourways.
A heather neoprene is featured across the lateral side of the GEL-MAI, whilst the medial features micro-ripstop. This play of overlays in materials allow for a very textured andrich upper.
Hidden details include a raised morse code print across the taping of the tongue which reads “HAL” –the imagery found on the inner-sole is a nod to the rough seas often traversed by nautical vessels.
