Featuring a staggering 7 events, the Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, 19 April 2015. The list of race categories include: International Half Marathon, “China Dream” Chinese Half Marathon, “Happiness Avenue” Yangzhou Citizens Half Marathon, “Youth on the Road” University and College Groups Half Marathon, Men’s and Women’s 10km Race, “Prosper Road” Enterprise Groups 10km Race, and even a 5.6km Mini Marathon.
The race courses will travel through the city’s main tourist sites and live telecasts of the huge running event will be broadcast to more than 50 countries. 18,000 half marathoners, 5,000 10km runners and 12,000 mini marathon participants are expected to join this acclaimed event. Little wonder then, that this is a successive gold medal winner, the highest honour by Chinese Athletics Association.
