Following a roaring success and sold-out year in 2015, the 11th Laguna Phuket International Marathon this year will double the fun. By spreading the races over two days on 4 and 5 June 2016, runners and spectators will get to fully enjoy the races and activities.
Join the 2 km Kids Run, 5 km Community Walk, 5 km Run – a new category! – or 10.5 km Run and be the first to run the beautiful course amidst Phuket’s lush greenery on Saturday afternoon, 4 June 2016.
The AIMS-certified 42.195 km Marathon and 21.097 km Half Marathon will flag off before sunrise the following day on Sunday, 5 June 2016. What does this mean for you marathoners? You get to squeeze in an extra practice or warm-up run the day before in the 10.5 km category before your big race! Just be sure to register for races on both days.
New Medals To Collect
Why all that effort, you say? Well, your effort will not be wasted! Race organisers Go Adventure Asia designed the 10.5 km Run, Half Marathon and Full Marathon finisher medals such that they can be joined together to create one unique medal.
On top of that, the first male and female in all the timed races, including the 5 km Junior Run (12-16 years) and 5 km Open Run, will be awarded trophies. The top three of every age group in the Marathon, Half Marathon and 10.5 km Run will also win prizes. After all, everyone’s a winner as every finisher will take home a commemorative medal.
