Polar introduces the Polar Loop, a stylish activity tracker in the form of a smart bracelet, which tracks daily activity and exercise levels.
Together with a free online service and app, the Polar Loop uses this information to suggest how to make small changes in daily lifestyle in order to improve your health and well-being.
Able to Track 5 Different Types of Activities
The Polar Loop is designed to be worn 24 hours a day, and can go with you everywhere – work, out on the town, in bed and even in the swimming pool.
It is also the only activity tracker that accurately distinguishes between 5 different levels of activity, so that it can tell the difference between, say, gentle walking and running.
The Polar Loop will take all the activities you’ve done so far and provide guidance on how to complete your day’s activity target. You can see, for example, whether to run for 30 minutes, walk for 60 minutes, or spend a few hours cleaning or cooking to reach your goal. This guidance updates during the day.
By connecting the Polar Loop with Polar’s H6 and H7 Bluetooth Smart heart rate sensors, you will also be able to track your heart rate for your activities.
Providing Guidance For You to Look and Feel Healthier
Its free online service and app called Polar Flow provides daily, weekly and monthly views of activity levels. Through almost 40 years of Polar’s unique physiological expertise, the Polar Flow will give useful guidance on how to become healthier, look and feel better, sharpen mental alertness and reduce long- term risks of lifestyle diseases such as heart disease and cancer.
The LED display shows information about your activity goal, what you need to do to achieve it, calories, steps and the time of day at the touch of a button.
Available initially in a discreet black colour, the Polar Loop features its elegant red LED display set into a rubberized wristband with a stainless steel buckle.
Where to buy?
Polar Loop will be available in Singapore in January 2014 for a suggested retail price of S$139. It will be available initially in black, with a pink version featuring white LEDs expected early in 2014. Polar Loop will be available from leading sports retailers and online. The Polar Flow app can be downloaded for free from Apple’s App Store from January 2014 onwards.
