Is being fast a priority in your run? If it is, Nike’s latest training and racing shoes might be able to meet your need.
The Nike Zoom Fly, Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 34 and Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4% all have the same focus: fast. Find out which one is right for you.
The Nike Zoom Fly – Fast for Race Day and Durable for Training
The Nike Zoom Fly running shoe is designed to meet the demands of your toughest tempo runs, long runs and race day.
The midsole is made of Lunarlon foam, a lightweight, soft and resilient material that provides highly responsive cushioning without sacrificing comfort. A full-length carbon-infused nylon plate within the midsole propels you forward with every step you make to bring you closer to your goals.
The Flywire-reinforced lightweight upper keeps you secure as you pick up speed. In addition, the Nike Zoom Fly’s 10-mm offset is designed to minimise Achilles strain and the 33-mm stack height offers impact protection mile after mile. The result is one of the fastest everyday shoes Nike makes.
The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 34 – Light, Fit, and Fast Trainer
The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 34 features Premium Cushlon foam which sits over Nike Zoom Air units in the forefoot and heel to create a responsive, springy feel and balance soft cushioning with support.
The updated Flymesh upper is made of lightweight translucent monofilament yarn that contains the foot but allows for ventilation to reduce over-heating and offer cool, lasting comfort.
Dynamic Flywire cables wrap the arch of your feet for snug support and a secure, locked-down feel. The radiused heel tapers on the lateral side to promote a natural strike.
The Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4% – Designed to Break Record
The Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4% was designed in conjunction with Breaking2, an audacious attempt to help the world’s fastest marathoners achieve the first ever sub-two-hour marathon.
On 6 May 2017, Eliud Kipchoge sets a new record in the history of running at the Breaking2.
The shoe is a state-of-the-art statement of pure speed. Nike’s most efficient and fastest marathon shoe to date, the Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4% offers ultra-responsive cushioning which creates a feeling like you’re being pushed toward the finish line.
The newly designed midsole features new Nike ZoomX foam that is ultra-lightweight, soft and capable of providing up to 85-percent energy return, to help you meet your ambitious goal. A full-length curved carbon fiber plate is embedded within the foam that increases stiffness to deliver a sensation of propulsion.
The nearly seamless one-piece Nike Flymesh upper with midfoot dynamic arch band provides zero-distraction containment.
Together, these features deliver an average of 4-percent improvement in running when compared to Nike’s previous fastest racing shoe.
The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 34 is available at Nike stores and Nike.com for S$179. The Nike Zoom Fly is available on Nike.com for S$239 (not in stores yet). And the Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4% will be available later this year.
