Newly launched this week, the adidas Ultra BOOST is armed with the latest technologies. Intuitively adjusting to a runner’s stride, this shoe features unrivalled energy return, adaptive comfort and superior support.
Besides providing 20 percent more BOOST™ cushioning material, the Ultra BOOST also gives more direct contact by eliminating the conventional EVA midsole. Made with thousands of unique energy capsules, it delivers consistent performance over hundreds of kilometres, in virtually any environment.
While running, a runner’s foot can expand up to 10mm or more in width, which when restrained, causes severe discomfort, friction and blisters. As such, to complement BOOST’s high energy return, the shoe also includes an innovative PRIMEKNIT pattern that stretches adaptively and provides comfortable support.
Freeing the natural movement of the Achilles tendon is an entirely new heel construction: A carefully tuned external heel counter that cradles the foot and adapts to the high extension of the Achilles. A new featherweight sock liner adapts to the runner’s natural foot form, for a customised fit and feel. Embedded in the shoe’s base is the new dual-density TORSION® SYSTEM, allowing more independent movement between the heel and forefoot for superior stability and increased control for a smooth run.
