Maybank Bali Marathon 2017 Race Results Released

Maybank Bali Marathon (MBM) 2017 concluded successfully with new routes that showcase the beauty of Bali villages. The new routes brought runners past through Gianyar and Klungkung.

In the Full Marathon Open Male category, Henry Kiprotich from Kenya, who wore bib number 2235, crossed the finish line with 2:19:17 and was proclaimed the champion of this year’s Maybank Bali Marathon. Henry Kiprotich proudly accepted the prize of IDR 189 million from President Director of Maybank, Taswin Zakaria.

The Full Marathon Open Female category saw Rumokol Chepkanan from Kenya as the winner with 2:38:38. Meanwhile, the Full Marathon National categories are won by Wiryawan Jaya Subangkit in the Male category with 2:41:53 and Meri Mariana Paijo in the Female category with 3:01:54.

Over 9,000 runners from 44 countries, including Indonesia, participated in Maybank Bali Marathon this year, with the majority of the runners from Indonesia. The number of participants increased by 20% compared to last year, making MBM 2017 one of the international sports events that grow consistently.
