This October, the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay will return to Singapore for the second time. Over 150 teams competed last year for bragging rights and a S$10,000 cheque donated to their charity of choice. Companies that took part last year included Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ), Barclays, Bell Pottinger, the ING Group, Macquarie Bank, Mastercard, UBS, and Standard Chartered.

First staged in London in 2007, Singapore marked the inaugural leg of the Square Mile Relay series’ international expansion in 2013.
Corporate teams of 10 runners each will run a 1 mile (1.6km) course at The Promontory @ Marina Bay, competing for the glory of a winner’s cheque to be donated to their charity of choice. Last year’s champion, Macquarie Bank, donated their prize money of S$10,000 to Hope House.
The corporate relay race is proudly sponsored by Bloomberg and official race partners, Virgin Active and Eastspring Investments. Early bird rates start from S$1,295 for a team of 10. This includes racing fees, t-shirts, admission to the after party dinner and 3 alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks per runner for a team of 10 persons!
The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay will take place at 7pm, 2 October 2014 at the Promontory @ Marina Bay. Registration for the race is now open with early-bird rates valid until 29 August 2014.
